<p>Background article on Tesla's failed plan to beam electrical power over radio waves. Since this time in history, it is well known to EE community that broadcasting power is difficult. DEWs can be used for low power jobs, but to demolish the WTC with a DEW would be in the realm of science fiction. It never got off the Judy Wood drawing board. </p>

<p><span>I always thought the DEW would have to ionize air to get to the E and B field strengths required to pulverize the towers. This and the energy source to me are technologically infeasible problems. I still think that the group of demolition pros who actually designed the demolitions would have scoffed at the idea of a DEW, it makes no sense to use one for demolition purposes when they had a whole arsenal of other types of incendiaries /explosives. </span></p>
