Subject: Re: 9/11 Tragedy Pager Intercepts
All,
A friend sent me a link. Now I see what's what. It's a lot of text
messages that say "planes hit the towers" without any explanation of
how that is know to be true. Classic disinformation! Here it is:

Some 570,000 pager messages sent on Sept. 11, 2001, many of them by government officials,
were being disclosed Wednesday by a nonprofit activist group.
"Messages in the archive range from Pentagon and New York Police Department exchanges, to
computers reporting faults to their operators as the World Trade Center collapsed,"
according to WikiLeaks, an online group that describes itself as a protector of "internal
dissidents, whistleblowers, journalists and bloggers who face legal or other threats
related to publishing."
Many of the messages are completely unrelated to the Sept. 11 attacks, but others are
clearly from people at the scene, responding or trying to contact people at the World
Trade Center. Examples include:

In a statement, WikiLeaks said that "the archive is a completely objective record of the
defining moment of our time. We hope that its revelation will lead to a more nuanced
understanding of the event and its tragic consequences."
WikiLeaks started the release at 3 a.m. ET on Wednesday and will continue releasing
messages chronologically through 3 a.m. ET Thursday.
It did not explain how it obtained what it called "intercepts" of text pagers.
The messages are being released at 911.wikileaks.org.
Quoting "Michael Morrissey" :
Great. I hope somebody finds something.

From 3AM on Wednesday November 25, 2009, until 3AM the following day (US east coast

The intercepts cover a 24 hour period surrounding the September 11, 2001 attacks in New
York and Washington.
The messages are being broadcast to the global community "live", synchronized to the
time of day they were sent. The first message is from 3AM September 11, 2001, five
hours before the first attack, and the last, 24 hours later.
Text pagers are usually carried by persons operating in an official capacity. Messages

computers reporting faults to their operators as the World Trade Center collapsed.
