Have you ever asked what is the root of all money? ~Ayn Rand  On Sunday, February 13, 2011 a group of Muslims attended a fundraiser while another group of self-described "patriotic Americans" gathered to protest the event, holding signs that read, "God Bless the USA."  Why were these patriotic protesters so upset?  In the words of one angry demonstrator, "Never forget 9/11!"  Imam Siraj Wahhaj was the featured speaker of the ICNA (Islamic Society of North America) Relief USA event. Wahhaj has said things like, "Neo-cons are all Zionist Jews." And "The wars against Iraq (Gulf War and Operation Iraqi Freedom) were manufactured by the Jews in America to avert attention from the two [Palestinian] Intifadas." And "[T]he Israelis were in control of 9-11," which "was staged to give an excuse to wage war against Muslims around the world."  I don't pretend to know who orchestrated the 9/11 attacks, but unfortunately, some people did pretend to know.  Thomas H. Kean and Lee H. Hamilton the chairman and vice chairman, respectively, of the 9/11 Commission wrote (over six years later), "What we do know is that government officials decided not to inform a lawfully constituted body, created by Congress and the president, to investigate one the greatest tragedies to confront this country." (January 2, 2008 New York Times oped, "Stonewalled by the CIA") They have also written, "...the after-action reports, accident investigations and public testimony by FAA and NORAD officials advanced an account of 9/11 that was untrue." Without Precedent: The Inside Story of the 9/11 Commission So while there is no certainty about who orchestrated the attacks, we do know there have been a number of entities which have benefited from them. The most obvious group is munitions manufacturers and security firms that have realized record profits since America's "New Pearl Harbor." Since the Department of Defense spends over half of our total annual federal ..., the financial institutions who have loaned us money to "defend" our empire have also enjoyed record profits.  The most ironic beneficiary however, is the United States government's increased power over its citizens. This government and the mainstream media that supports it would have us believe that the terrorist groups who "hate us for our freedoms" are comprised of Muslims, yet the group who has successfully restricted our freedoms most is the US Congress when they enacted legislation such as the USA PATRIOT Act.   You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act...Matthew 7:16 New Living Translation The Americans who gathered at the protest event appear to have overlooked some important pieces of information. It seems to have gone unnoticed that there are a number of valid alternatives to the position that "the Muslims did 9/11."   Additionally, they seem to be blind to the usurpation of our freedom perpetrated by our government -- not by any Muslims. Perhaps these Americans who so freely hate all things Muslim (and love all things American and Israeli) have made some additional oversights and hold some further misconceptions.         Misery Loves Company (Business)  In his article, "The Irony of Israel's Benefits from International Terrorism", Anthony Reich (an Israeli citizen and sympathizer with other writings such as "The Threat of Muslim Terrorism" and "Why I Want My Son to Serve [in the Israel Defense Forces]") writes, "Not very long ago, terrorism was limited to certain countries around the world. Israel was viewed as being one of these countries... [and developed] tactics and technologies which help to secure the country and her citizens.  "At one time, the only consumer of these capabilities was Israel. As international terror has spread around the world, the number of customers for the anti-terror devices has grown dramatically. "Today, many security systems that are deployed around the world are Israeli systems, or are based upon ones developed and used in Israel. ... Each time the security level is raised for any reason, Israeli companies are benefiting financially from the increase [in] security requirements. Israeli companies are major beneficiaries of the enormous sums of money spent by the US Homeland Security and many other countries." Andrew Buncombe writes, "US forces have fired so many bullets in Iraq and Afghanistan -- an estimated 250,000 for every insurgent killed -- that American ammunition-makers cannot keep up with demand. As a result the US is having to import supplies from Israel."  ("US Forced to Import Bullets From Israel, GIs, Marines Use 250,000 f..." The Independent, September 25, 2005) Swiss business school, IMD's 2010 edition of the "World Competitiveness Yearbook" named the Israeli economy as most durable in the face of crises. Uriel Linn, president of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce said in response to the report, "It should be noted that Israel's ranking first in terms of the market's durability in the face of crises is the direct result of the Treasury and the Bank of Israel's actions, which withstood the pressures and did not pump funds into failing organizations and financial systems as the US and Europe did." That may be accurate, but Naomi Klein, in her book The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism said, "After the dot-com bubble burst in 2000, Israel's economy was devastated but then came 9/11, and suddenly new profit vistas opened up for any company that claimed it could spot terrorists in crowds, seal borders from attack and extract confessions from closed-mouthed prisoners. "Many of the country's most successful entrepreneurs are using Israel's status as a fortressed state, surrounded by furious enemies, as a kind of twenty-four-hour-a-day showroom--a living example of how to enjoy relative safety amid constant war ... Israel now sends $1.2 billion in 'defense' products to the United States -- up dramatically from $270 million in 1999. "That makes Israel the fourth-largest arms dealer in the world." George Washington in his 1796 Farewell Address to the United States Congress gave a (timeless) warning against foreign influence: "Observe good faith and justice towards all nations. Cultivate peace and harmony with all. ... The nation which indulges toward another an habitual hatred or an habitual fondness is in some degree a slave... either of which is sufficient to lead it astray from its duty and its interest.  "Antipathy in one nation against another disposes each more readily to...bloody contests. ... So, likewise, a passionate attachment of one nation for another produces a variety of evils. Sympathy for the favorite nation, facilitating the illusion of an imaginary common interest in cases where no real common interest exists ... betrays the [nation] into a participation in the quarrels and wars of [the favorite nation] without adequate inducement or justification. "And it gives to ambitious, corrupted, or deluded citizens (who devote themselves to the favorite nation) facility to betray or sacrifice the interests of their own country ...sometimes even with popularity. ... As avenues to foreign influence [advance] in innumerable ways, such attachments are particularly alarming to the truly enlightened and independent patriot. How many opportunities do they afford to tamper with domestic factions, to practice the arts of seduction, to mislead public opinion, [and] to influence or awe the public councils! Such an attachment of a small or weak toward a great and powerful nation dooms the former to be the satellite of the latter.  "...Excessive partiality for one foreign nation and excessive dislike of another cause those whom they actuate to see danger only on one side and serve to veil and even second the arts of influence on the other. Real patriots, who may resist the intrigues of the favorite, are liable to become suspected and odious, while its tools and dupes usurp the applause and confidence of the people to surrender their interests.  "The great rule of conduct for us, in regard to foreign nations, is in extending our commercial relations [but] to have with them as little political connection as possible. Here let us stop." "And what do you think of usury? -- What do you think of murder?" ~ Cato, De Re Rustica  As words like "Shari'ah Law" and "jihad" are desecrated in Western media from the Muslim perspective, a closer look reveals another side to the story. (This is not to say that Shari'ah Law is entirely good, but rather that some economic elements of it should be seriously considered by Americans in comparison to our current system).  In the 2009 report to the Pentagon, "Economic Warfare: Risks and Responses," Kevin D. Freeman writes, "...[In Shari'ah Compliant Finance] the investment selections are made for religious and traditional rather than economic reasons. The investment profit motive is a far distant second to achieving jihad aims." Western media describe the term "jihad" as a holy war with militant implications. On the other hand, the Koran never uses the term for fighting in the name of Allah. According to Wikipedia, the word "jihad" translates as a noun meaning struggle as in striving in the way of God (al-jihad fi sabil Allah.)  For example, modern Arabic speakers would describe Mahatma Gandhi's satyagraha for Indian independence or Martin Luther King's struggle for civil rights as jihads. It could even be said that Jesus had a jihad with the money changers (bankers) of his day -- the only time that Jesus used force. "And the Jews' Passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem and found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables" John 2:13-15 Jesus, a Jew, was faithful to the teachings of the Torah which forbade usury (interest): "If thou lend money to any of my people that is poor by thee, thou shalt not be to him as an usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him usury." Exodus 22:25. "Thou shalt not give him thy money upon usury, nor lend him thy victuals for increase." Leviticus. 25:37 "Thou shalt not lend upon usury to thy brother; usury of money, usury of victuals, usury of anything that is lent upon usury."Deuteronomy 23:19 While the "End the Fed" campaign has gained momentum here in the United States, the motivation seems to stem from economic purposes, rather than religious ones.  As the saying goes, "the Federal Reserve is no more federal than Federal Express," but the "Fed" prints money for literally pennies on the dollar and then lends it to the government with interest and for profit. This is the root cause of inflation and the reason the dollar's value has fallen 96% over the past century.  While all three Abrahamic religions as described in the Bible, Torah, and Koran forbid usury, it is only the Islamic faith (Shari'ah Law) that is faithful to its monetary related teachings. As Tanya Cariina Hsu reported in 2008, "Islamic banking prohibits the acquisition of wealth via gambling (or alcohol, tobacco, pornography, or stocks in armaments companies), and forbids the buying and selling of a debt as well as usury. Additionally, Shari'ah banking laws forbid investing in any company with debts that exceed thirty percent.  "'Islamic banking institutions have not failed per se as they deal in tangible assets and assume the risk' said Dr. Mohammed Ramady, Professor of Economics at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals. 'Although the Islamic banking sector is also part of the global economy, the impact of direct exposure to sub-prime asset investments has been low.'  "Eight years ago, in May 2000, Saudi Islamic banker His Highness Dr. Nayef bin Fawaaz ibn Sha'alan publicly gave a series of economic lectures in Gulf states. He warned then that it was a certainty that the US economic system was on the verge of collapse because of its cumulative debts, ever-increasing deficit and the interest on that debt.  "'When the debts and deficits come due, they just issue new Treasury bonds to cover the old bonds due, with their interest and the new deficit too. The cycle cannot be stopped or the debt canceled because the US would no longer be able to borrow. The consequence of relieving this cycle would be a total collapse of their economic system as opposed to the partial, albeit massive, crash of 2008.'  "'Islamic banking', [continued] Dr. Al-Sha'alan, 'always protects the individuals' wealth while putting a cap on selfishness and greed. It has the best of capitalism -- filtering out its negatives -- and the best of socialism -- filtering out its negatives too. "'The essential difference between the Islamic economic system and the capitalist system', he continued 'is that in Islam wealth belongs to God -- the individual being only its manager. It is a means, not a goal. In capitalism, it is the reverse: money belongs to the individual, and is a goal in and of itself. In America especially, money is worshiped like God.'"("Death of the American Empire, America is self-destructing & bri..." following the financial crisis of 2008) Meanwhile, Back at the Mob  With dozens of flags erect behind her, Villa Park Republican Councilwoman Deborah Pauly took the stage. "Let me tell you what's going on over there right now, make no bones about it -- that is sheer, unadulterated evil. I have a wonderful 19 year-old son who is a United States Marine. As a matter of fact, I know quite a few Marines who would be very happy to help these terrorists to an early meeting in paradise." The crowd laughed and cheered.  One protester shouted, "We love our Constitution and we want it to stay that way! One Nation under God, not Allah! "   It doesn't appear she knew that the Muslim God they call "Allah" is the same God of Abraham. It also doesn't seem that the patriotic protesters had any understanding of the Constitution they claimed to so dearly "love." For example... Amendment 1: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.  Amendment 6: In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury, ...and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense. Yet these rights, so basic to freedom-loving people everywhere, have been denied to a group of our fellow Americans. This group has suffered for nearly 10 years under a perverted guilty by association, McCarthy-era redux.  Yet it is much worse than that because these Muslims share nothing with the alleged hijackers except perhaps the color of their skin, and the only 9/11 investigative body itself admits its findings were based on official "accounts of 9/11 that were untrue." Wikipedia states, "...[T]he conclusion [of the 9/11 Commission Report] was that the failures of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency and Federal Bureau of Investigation permitted the terrorist attacks to occur...." In light of many recent domestic "terrorist plots" which have repeatedly been shown to be instigated by FBI and CIA agents, the question is, were the September 11th attacks "permitted to occur" or orchestrated to occur, and especially if the latter, why is this (Sodom and Gomorrah version of a) "Christian Nation" demonizing Muslim-Americans? "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor." Exodus 20: 16 A Fox News Rendering* of the Patriotic Protest...  (*Timeline and context adjusted to better fit talking points.) "They ... [have] paralyzed too many of our fellow citizens to make the critical judgment we need to make as a society." ~Congressman Ed Royce (*when asked about Fox News' role as the Fourth Branch of American government) When the ICNA event (which raised money for the homeless and women's shelters) was over, the Muslim men, women and children walked past the patriotic protesters who shouted, "GO BACK HOME! GO BACK HOME! GO BACK HOME!" and "You're cowards! Why don't you go home and beat your wife like you do every night. Have sex with your nine year-old and marry her!" "This is not about hate ... We are not hatemongers. The word 'Islamophobia' is an effort to chill us. The Constitution was never meant to allow a tyranny of a minority."  ~Karen Lugo, Chapman University adjunct professor of law and committee member of the California Advisory Committee to the  US Civil Rights Commission "When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all men would be guaranteed the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It is obvious today that America has defaulted on this promissory note."  ~Martin Luther King The crowd continued, "Muhammad was a child molester! Muhammad was a pervert! Muhammad was a fraud!" "It's not right for terrorism to come to Yorba Linda. I always stress the need to be peaceful and positive."  ~Steven Amundson, Protest organizer of these patriotic Americans The angry patriots raged on, "Your hands are bloody! Your mother's bloody! Get out, you terrorist lovers! You're not welcome here!" "I came here to give you a flag. I'm proud of what you're doing. This is not all that surprising.  About 50 years ago, Ike gave his farewell address, and he at least vaguely identified the military-industrial complex as an enemy of democracy in his mind, and he would know that world.  But the public was still innocent and didn't see the beast covered beneath the blanket.  After JFK was taken out, we were stunned like deer in the headlights and didn't come out of our stupor until guys like Mark Lane started getting us thinking.  But then advanced work by the likes of Lifton, Mantik, Fetzer, and Costella opened up the JFK thing and we could see the details of that can of worms, and it wasn't a pretty picture, and today work on that continues.  But then the dark side really, really overplayed its hand on 911.  It is going to take a while until we have the degree of specifity we have on JFK for 911, but we'll get there.  Today research is going on.

 

That is why the 911 truth movement enemy are those that call for curtailing research.  We have to get better and better info. and no more special pleading.
