the multi-colors are a spectrum of sunlight, caused by diffraction in the , I think, a hole in the smoke cloud.  This rainbow of light is probably reflecting off about a 3 meter segment of steel member that was ejected upward.

Anyone here please look at this picture with your photo viewer and magnify the red blue and yellow thing in the smoke.  What is that?!
