Nine years after the terrorist attacks of 2001, the United States is assembling a vast domestic intelligence apparatus to collect information about Americans, using the FBI, local police, state homeland security offices and military criminal investigators.

The system, by far the largest and most technologically sophisticated in the nation's history, collects, stores and analyzes information about thousands of U.S. citizens and residents, many of whom have not been accused of any wrongdoing.

The government's goal is to have every state and local law enforcement agency in the country feed information to Washington to buttress the work of the FBI, which is in charge of terrorism investigations in the United States.
Other democracies - Britain and Israel, to name two - are well acquainted with such domestic security measures. But for the United States, the sum of these new activities represents a new level of governmental scrutiny.
This localized intelligence apparatus is part of a larger Top Secret America created since the attacks. In July, The Washington Post described an alternative geography of the United States, one that has grown so large, unwieldy and secretive that no one knows how much money it costs, how many people it employs or how many programs exist within it.

Today's story, along with related material on The Post's Web site, examines how Top Secret America plays out at the local level. It describes a web of 4,058 federal, state and local organizations, each with its own counterterrorism responsibilities and jurisdictions. At least 935 of these organizations have been created since the 2001 attacks or became involved in counterterrorism for the first time after 9/11.

This is a sure sign of an official movement of the secret govt. toward total Stalin/Hitler type of tyranny.  The world elite who are surely ultimately pulling the strings, most lately Bush/Obama's , are probably getting into about a 8 on a scale of 1-10 "alert level" , by which I mean they clearly are getting paranoid.  As the world population grows, they know full well the whole thing is a house of cards that could fold up with the least insurections which could lead to full revolutions.  They are counting on their shills and ops, particularly their intelligence apparatus, to suppress this kind of stuff, but I still think they are afraid it might not work.  The internet might be that one invention that really backfired on them, and they are starting to realize this big time.  For example, at the time of 911, I think they were on about a 5 level of this "alert scale", but since then they can see that the internet is providing a quite powerful network and raising their alert level.

A comment about mainly the younger generation:  I saw a show today that just strengthens a suspicion I've had for years that the ops are working on the minds of the young generation, because demographically they outnumber the old.  The achilles heel of this generation is that people tend to be trusting in young age and get more jaded in older age, that very certainly was the case in my own life.  I saw a show, one small example, I have so many more, "Brad Meltzer's Decoded" (or something like that ) , a new show on cable TV.  One young lady scientist for example, she was in a group investigating the possibility that the "illumanti" had subtle symbology in American cities, for example , within the Statue of Liberty as a sort of "fingerprint" of the elites.  You could clearly see the cognitive dissonance she was wrestling with throughout the show, almost begging a "experienced professor" type to give her the answers she wanted confirmed:  that there was some innocent explanation for many of these weird symbols.  I could see her visibly relaxing when one of these profs. told her what she wanted to hear:  these symbols might seem sinister, but actually they have an innocent explanation: in the case of the Statue of Liberty the "lucifer" symbology actually had nothing to do with secret societies but rather some innocuous explanation of an original meaning of "lucifer" being light like the Statue's torch.  Not to pick on the young, I love them, they are the future, but they are also easy targets for these monstrous shills and ops.

I am fairly articulate and educated on this subject, but the real master in my opinion on this deeper power structure/rule by secrecy topic is Jim Marrs.  I've been studying him recently and he has a great knowledge and ability to explain this difficult topic.  Of course, it is very very difficult to see exactly what these shadowy powers are doing behind the scenes because of course they are  wealthy and hire the best armies of lawyers and intelligence ops to obfuscate what they are doing.  Still, guys like Marrs do a great job at getting a pulse on all this.
