My visit recently to visit family near Madison brought about several interesting conversations. I was relating how it seems like all the dire descriptions I grew up with about the evil Soviets have materialized in the here and now. This was right when the Edward Snowden story broke out and one of my daughter's friends told her Russian husband: "it's all over, Sergei...they have all of our information!" The thing about it is, the NSA is part and parcel of the shadow government that keeps on trucking no matter who occupies the White House or Congress. My son-in-law asked me: "what if you could just, well, I was going to say get rid of (they still have the deleted words)--clean house from the president on down to Congress? I said I didn't think it would make any difference because these people operate regardless of who has whatever office. That said, look at the situation in the Supreme Court? John Roberts? Please!!!

Just learned that James Fetzer is just up the road from where I was visiting my daughter in Wisconsin: small world, big connections!
