Yes, she's in a coma.  DEWs have done something to her .

 

The dust evidence has fission and fusion products in it and that is the clincher that some type of mini or micro nuke arrangement was used.  But Chuck is correct about thermite which was used to prep and soften up the metal before the nukes were ignited
